The DS suite of KVM, Serial and IPMI connectivity solutions includes more than 12 network appliances all powered by DSView management software. This provides secure browser based control of all the local and remote servers and devices in your IT infrastructure. Available in 1, 4, 8 & 16 port appliances.

DSView 3.1 - View all your data centre devices from a single screen - Now with Virtual Media

DSView Management Software, provides secure browser-based control of all of the local and remote servers and devices in your IT infrastructure. It's the IT industry's only fully redundant, replicating database solution for network administrators, taking remote management of data servers and serial devices to a new level.

The power of DSView 3 Software is its hub and spoke architecture - a fully redundant, replicating database system with a central management hub server and up to 15 mirror spoke servers allowing real-time updates and load balancing across multiple sites. Users can authenticate to any server in the DSView 3 Software System should the primary server become unent server (hub) and up to 15 mirror servers (spokes). Multiple back-up / failover capabilities allow users to authenticate to any server in the DSView 3 system, should the primary server fail.

Virtual Media

Virtual Media provides the ability to remotely load software and diagnostic information, with or without a working operating system, from devices that are centrally located.

The Avocent DSR appliances have USB 2.0 interfaces that allow administrators to use a USB key to upload crucial fixes or patches directly to the attached servers. The new DSView 3 software provides a simple to use mapping menu to make any local removable media or mass storage device appear on the remote target server.

DSR Appliances

The DSR KVM switches offer you a choice of 8 or 16-port network appliances that combine analogue and digital technology into one KVM solution. All models are controlled with DSView management software for remote IP access, and patented OSCAR® on-screen GUI for local access at the rack. The DSRIQ module, with a built-in server ID memory, allows servers and serial-based devices to be attached using standard CAT 5 cabling, which reduces cable clutter. The DSR KVM switching solutions are scalable, flash-upgradeable and require only 1U of valuable rack space.

DSR1021 KVM over IP Switch

The DSR1021 KVM switch is specifically designed for you to easily troubleshoot, reboot or even power cycle servers or serial devices in branch offices, avoiding the need for costly on-site service calls. Combined with DSView 3 Management Software SNMP and IPMI support, and a web browser, the DSR1021 switch provides one-screen, BIOS-level control of your branch offices' servers, routers and DSUs.

DSR1022 KVM over IP Switch

The DSR1022 switch includes four configurable ports for maximum flexibility and supports PS/2 and USB servers. External modem support is available if your network is down. Combined with DSView 3 Management Software, SNMP and IPMI support, and a Web browser, the DSR1022 switch provides one-screen, BIOS-Level control of your branch offices servers, routers and DSUs.

DSR1024 KVM over IP Switch

The Avocent DSR1024 KVM over IP switch is specifically designed for BIOS-level management of branch devices controlled by a single computer, such as ATM machines. Remote access via the one-port DSR1024 switch can help eliminate on-site maintenance costs and service calls. External modem support is available if your network is down. Supported by DSView 3 Management Software, SNMP and IPMI, the DSR1024 switch provides hub and spoke failover capability - users can authenticate even when a primary server is unavailable.

The 16-port one digital path DSR®1030 KVM over IP switch gives administrators virtual media capability through DSView® 3 software to remotely load software. The DSR1030 also offers BIOS-level control of all connected servers and serial-based devices, even when the network is down.

DSR2030 KVM Over IP Switch

The 16-port DSR®2030 KVM over IP switch provides virtual media capability through DSView® 3 software to remotely load software, while two digital paths allow simultaneous access of up to two remote servers. The DSR2030 offers BIOS-level control of connected servers and serial-based devices even when the network is down.

DSR4030 KVM Over IP Switch

The 16-port DSR®4030 KVM over IP switch provides virtual media capability through DSView® 3 software to remotely load software, while four digital paths allow simultaneous access of up to four remote servers. The DSR4030 offers BIOS-level control of connected servers and serial-based devices even when the network is down.

DSR8030 KVM Over IP Switch

The 16-port DSR®8030 KVM over IP switch gives administrators virtual media capability through DSView® 3 software to remotely load software, while eight digital paths allow simultaneous access of up to eight remote servers. The DSR8030 offers BIOS-level control of connected servers and serial-based devices even when the network is down.
